صمد برگینیا پدری ۵۲ ساله و دارای دو فرزند بود. او با دلی جوان و بیباک برای دفاع از شرف و آزادی در اعتراضات سراسری پیرانشهر شرکت کرد. وی در تاریخ ۲۹ شهریور ۱۴۰۱ در جریان این اعتراضات به شدت مجروح و دچار خونریزی شد. صمد برگینیا در تاریخ ۶ مهر ۱۴۰۱ در پیرانشهر، استان آذربایجان غربی، توسط نیروهای حکومتی کشته شد.
